Rajasthan, the land of warriors

In the texts of the History, one can effortlessly have findings of great warriors and patriots from Rajasthan like Maharana Prataap, Rana Saanga, Pruithvi Raj Chauhaan, Ranjit Singh of Bharatpur and numerous others who faught against the brutal & wild Mughals and sly & cunning Britishers. The stories of their bravery are still the frequent topics discussed while sitting on far flung sand dunes to the greenery of eastern Rajasthan. The Rajput (Raajpoot) kingdom and their immense daring combined with higher endurance and courage is known to the entire nation. In Indian Army, there are separate regiments called "Rajputana Regiment" "Rajput Rifles" etc..
The literature of old times is full of stories pertaining the acts of fearlessness and braveness of Rajasthani warriors and even the women & children. The Vishnoi community of western Rajasthan faught against their own king just for the sake of environment which is one of the unique examples of its kind which derives the incidence when numerous women, men and children embraced trunks of the trees when kings' men came to cut them for construction purposes. They refused to bow down in front of injustice and were beheaded and killed by the King; this is an example of the bravery with which they stood against the injustice to nature, showed the courage to retaliate. This courage is embedded in the sand of Rajasthan, which glorifies its greatness even farther. Rana Kumbha, history of Chittore, Rani padmini and her sacrifice, Rana saanga who kept fighting to barbarous Mughals even after having more then 80 deep wounds are a few of the heaps of the historical facts which emboldens the bravery of Rajasthani land. I pay my all regards to such a great land.
