Religion as a tool for Crosscut to mass-attention

Religion as a tool for Crosscut to mass-attention
The most sought after property for a leader is "mass-attention" because ultimately it not only stamps his position and strengthen it but also ensures might usable from ballot to agitations threatening adversaries or unfortunately to the extent of violence to clinch self, narrow goals.
India has long been witnessing the cults of religious and alleged spiritual leaders to political bodies or organisations, many a times solely getting their grass root strength from religion. This phenomenon is very healthy, if utilized for the principles, all religions stand for but interpolates to a devil, when marred with intentions of self-achievements even at the cost of others' unjustifiable loss.
Devashish just wishes to draw everyone's attention through this small write-out to both kinds of bases so that readers are always aware of the fact that when someone is bombarding rhetoric to folks, even encroaching upon other religious groups' serenity and rights to their faith, insulting the latter that it might only be a mean and shameless misuse of the cheapest tool available, specially in a pluralistic society like the Indian one.
Here one must add never always to be cynical as a true religious discourse can always be distinguished by its unique fervor of affection, respect and open-mindedness to the entire spectrum of views, ideas and beliefs. Your comments are always coveted.
